Average harvest for cherry plums of Lorraine

Rains damaged around 30% of the production.
Strong rains have damaged a part of the production which looked average.
The Association of cherry plums of Lorraine considers that 10 to 30 % of orchards have fragmented fruits.
Fragmented fruits are lost. But those who escape from it have a beautiful yellow color and an excellent rate of sugar about 20 %.
The marketable production is estimated at 12.000 tons this year. What is going to lead an increase of the sale price, approximately 1€ more than last year.
