Multiplication of direct connections with inland.
The port of Antwerp has expanded its network "hinterland". The direct rail link to/from Athus (Belgium) will multiply the possible destinations. For Luxembourg, the regions Alsace-Lorraine (France), for regions Saarland Rhineland-Palatinate (Germany).
Agreements have been also signed with the terminal in Moerdijk and Gorinchem (Netherlands), with Ghent, La Louviere, Brussels (Belgium), to make barge connections to/from all terminals. Simplification of administrative procedures, facilitated transport of containers within the country, contribute so to a more reliable, efficient and "greener" supply chain.
The port of Antwerp allows connections with Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Zaandam (Netherlands), with Lyon / Marseille / Fos (France), with Munich and Nuremberg (Germany).
