BLUE WHALE became the market leader thanks to focuse on innovations
Blue Whale is the largest French fruit-growers’ group and exporter, with 300 growers from the four finest fruit-growing regions in Southern France: the South-west, the Loire Valley, Provence and the Alps.
Company produces 250 000 tons of fruits, in particular 19 varieties of apples and also other fruits like: plums, pears, kiwi and grapes. Its famous brand is present on more than 70 countries. Focus on innovation is the heart of marketing strategy of the Company. Agricultural engineers concentrate their efforts on two areas of research:
- Designing new, even more environmentally-friendly growing techniques
- Creating new fruit varieties to respond to changes in consumer expectations in the years to come.
At WOP Dubai trade show a Blue Whale’s team successfully presented its Novablue variety, which is cultivated exclusively in France for the 3rd
Novablue apples are harvested in mid-August and are available to March. It has excellent preservation characteristics satisfying expectations of consumers from different countries.
