Increase of +12.68% for Jordanian exports

Jordanian exports increased by +12.68% in volume, tomatoes represent 67% of total exports.
Jordan registers a very good start of the year for its exports of fruits and vegetables.
The Jordanian Ministry of Agriculture has announced that the country's exports during the first 5 months of 2014 totaled 373,000 tons, an increase of +12.68% compared to the volume exported last year for same period. The tomato is the first export product and represents 67% of total exports.
These exports had destinations to 44 countries; Gulf states are the 1st customers with 79% of the total, followed by Iraq with 11%, 9% of Syria, Lebanon 1%.
