DEWULF from Belgium is investing in a new Smart Logistics Centre
Demolition of buildings that formerly served as flax sheds began last September. Since then, the first stone of the 7800 m² Innovative Smart Logistics Centre has been laid. This multi-million euros investment represents the largest investment since the company's founding in 1946.
In order to support Dewulf's continuous growth in the long term, the company has bought 12,000 m² of additional commercial space, just across the road from its existing buildings. The connection between the current production site and the new building will be established via a bridge over the road. Forklifts crossing the road will now definitely be a thing of the past. These significant efficiency improvements and just-in-time delivery to the assembly lines will lead to stock optimisations and contribute to higher production capacity. C&W Logistics is responsible for management of logistics process.
The modular design of this new facility will enable further expansion of the infrastructure in the future.
