TOMRA Food announces new appointees to join the Processed Food business area
VU | TOMRA Food
TOMRA Food has appointed 4 new department directors in its Processed Food business area, which focuses on sorting potatoes, vegetables, nuts, dried fruit, proteins, meat, poultry, and pet food.
Two new senior managers have been appointed for already existing positions of Head of Global Sales and Head of Service. The other two positions have been created for Head of People & Organization and Head of Product Management. In this way, in February 2022, the Processed Food senior management team increased from six to eight employees.
The initiative of new appointments belongs to Ken Moynihan, who became CEO of TOMRA Processed Food last year, when the business area was created. Before TOMRA, Ken served as CEO of Compac, the New Zealand-based expert in fresh fruit sorting technology, which was acquired by TOMRA in 2017.
According to Ken, the future of the food processing industry will become more complex due to increased yields and better quality to meet growing demand. These changes will require innovations in sensing and sorting technologies, artificially intelligent self-optimizing lines, and digitally connected data-driven support services.
TOMRA is aimed to lead this transformation, guaranteeing clients stay at the front line of exciting changes, and operate at their full capacity all year round.
This is why TOMRA needs an innovative and customer-oriented organization which works closely with customers to better understand their needs. Ken added that they have set their strategy and now taken the first steps toward that future with 4 new appointments.
