Thanks to a virtual tour, Mercabarna is now open to all

Now, even if you're not an agri-food professional, you can visit Mercabarna through a virtual tour that can be seen on Google Maps.

This visit will allow everyone to enter the Central Market of Fruits and Vegetables, the Central Fish Market, Mercabarna-flor, and the Commercial Zone. Mercabarna is the first wholesale market in Europe to offer a virtual tour. To do this, it was necessary to photograph about 20 km of the food polygon (4,700 shots 360 °).

 

 

Mercabarna is the fundamental axis of the agro-food sector in Catalonia, with 2 million tonnes of fresh produce marketed each year, the market supplies more than 10 million consumers. On its 90 hectares there are 700 wholesalers specializing in the processing, trading and distribution of fresh produce.
