Exports of oranges, lemons, and mandarins are progressing in Chile
VU
The citrus production and exports in Chile remain unscathed by the recent rainfall, according to the ASOEX Citrus Committee. This is attributed to the fact that the citrus-producing areas span from the Coquimbo region to O'Higgins, encompassing elevated regions sheltered from frost. It was noted that the harvesting activities experienced a brief pause for several days.
According to the Committee, the clementine season has already concluded. As for oranges and lemons, they have progressed significantly, with approximately 80% of the yield already collected. Lastly, mandarin exports have reached a 35% completion rate, with the O'Higgins region contributing merely 15% to this category.
