Mali has doubled its exports of mangoes

Mali has significantly improved its performance in the export of mangoes: during the 2009 campaign that ended last October, the country exported nearly 10 000 tonnes.

The mango sector occupies an important place in the Malian economy in exports of fruit and vegetables, in fact it is the heart of a strategy to boost commercial farming by the improvement chains mango, shea butter, gum arabic, banana, onion and potato.
For two years, Mali has established a "Day of the Mango" where all industry professionals meet.
