Polar temperatures hit China
CD
Huge snow falls and polar temperatures are causing troubles in North China and in a part of Asia.
This height of snow has not been seen in Beijing in the last 59 years, and the temperatures have gone down so low for the last time in 1989.
This polar climate has hit most of Chinease provinces, causing trouble on the agricultural economy. Delivery of vegetables in big North town will certainly be affected.
In order to avoid vegetables prices to sky-rocket , vegetables from South provinces have been sent to North cities. Spinach and leaf-vegetables have increased a lot. The other vegetables have seen little increase so far.
The Chinese Agricultury Ministery sent assistance to farmers in order to help them to fix dammaged greenhouses and to optimize water and pesticides management. This appeared as a first priority for officials in order to guaranty a sufficiant crop of wheat and vegetables next spring.
