The new CEO of Carrefour will implement a strategy to move the group forward.
The Carrefour Board has appointed George Plassat as CEO.
The Board of Directors meeting on May 23 considered that all conditions were met for the transition period which began 29 January 2012. Lars Olofsson has resigned as
CEO of the company with immediate effect.
The arrival of George Plassat to head the group holds the promise of implementing a new strategy and the appointment of someone with experience in the sector is a strong signal to restore confidence.
