With a share of more than 15% of the world market for onion exports, the Dutch onion is currently the world leader in the sector.
Absolute record for the volume of exports HOLLAND ONION, in this last marketing campaign which ended week 26. These exports had for destination more than 130 countries.
Top 20 destinations for this season 2017-18: Senegal, Great Britain, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Mauritania, Malaysia, Mali, Brazil, Belgium, Germany, Indonesia, Gambia, France, Spain, Philippines, Sierra Leone, Ireland, Haiti, Panama and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The biggest demand this season comes from Africa, like last season, with Senegal, Ivory Coast, Mauritania and Guinea still in the top 5 of the ranking of destinations.
HOLLAND ONION continues to explore new markets, particularly in the Americas. Guatemala, Panama and El Salvador increased their imports. Chile, Argentina and Brazil have also strengthened their demands. Other objectives: Costa Rica and Colombia.
