Spanish consumers continued to reduce their purchases of Fruit & Vegetables in September.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture which released its data for the consumption of Fruits & Vegetables, the downward trend continues.
September confirms the trend observed for January, February , April, June , July and August . Spanish households fell by 3% in volume and 4% in value of their purchases of Fruit & Vegetables in September 2014 compared to the same month of 2013.
For FEPEX who gets this data, the situation is worrying . It is more than ever necessary to stimulate consumption of Fruits & Vegetables and promotion campaign planned by the Ministry of Agriculture is going to happen at the right time.
