"We are pleased to offer our customers this revised network, which will give them greater reliability in the arrival of goods," said Johan Sigsgaard, Head of Europe Trade at Maersk Line.
Maersk Line announces changes to its services linking Asia and Europe to focus on improving the reliability of the Asia-Europe network.
The changes to the network apply to the Asia-North Europe and Asia-Mediterranean channels. These changes address customer needs for efficient service, while providing broad coverage of ports and major markets in Asia and Europe, as well as competitive transit times.
The revised portfolio will also enable Maersk Line to better balance available capacity across markets, reducing the risk of oversupply and providing enhanced services to major Asian and European ports. The direct coverage of all major markets has been maintained, with tailor-made products designed for the countries of Northern Europe, the Mediterranean and the Adriatic and with attractive coverage of the main markets in the Middle East.
The first westbound crossings on Maersk Line's revised Asia-Europe network will take place in May.
