This certification, which is a real seed for access to new business opportunities, especially on the European market, will help develop the exports of these Kenyan producers.
More than 300 farmers from Kenya, located in Murang'a County (150 kilometers north of Nairobi) have just received the GlobalG.A.P Certification. The certification was carried out as part of a project led by NTF (Netherlands Trust Fund) and implemented by ITC (International Trade Center) and CBI, the Dutch center for the promotion of imports from developing countries.
This certification opens up new business opportunities and will establish strong relationships with European buyers who prefer certified products. GlobalG.A.P. (Global Good Agricultural Practice) is a private standard that stipulates requirements for agricultural processes and food security.
