All imported food will be tested and then, after examination, allowed to enter the Chinese market. These warehouses will allow problems to be quickly detected and identified.
According to the State Administration for Market Regulation, China has built 869 warehouses for the centralized supervision of imported cold chain foods.
In these warehouses, unified testing and disinfection procedures will be conducted for all imported cold chain foods. Imported food will be allowed to enter the Chinese market only after obtaining the warehouse exit certificate.
These surveillance warehouses have a major role in cutting off potential transmission channels of COVID-19, facilitating the removal of imported food from the cold chain in case of emergency and reducing costs.
