Chile’s fruit exports reach $9.95 billion in 2025/26

Higher returns from processed fruit and nuts helped lift the season total despite a slight decline in fresh-fruit sales.
Chile exported US$9.95 billion worth of fruit during the September 2025-August 2026 season, 4.4% more than a year earlier, according to the September fruit bulletin from the Office of Agricultural Studies and Policies, ODEPA.
Fresh fruit
Fresh fruit accounted for 66.3% of the total, generating around US$6.6 billion. Export value was 1.8% lower than in the previous campaign, while volumes slipped only 0.4%.
Cherries remained Chile’s largest fresh-fruit export by value. The country shipped 569,450 tonnes worth US$2.64 billion. Volumes fell 8.9%, while the average export value increased from US$4.55 to US$4.64 per kg.
Table grape exports reached US$908.8 million from 477,600 tonnes. Volume fell 14.3%, but average unit value rose 7.9% to US$1.90 per kg.
Blueberries gain
Blueberries were among the stronger performers. Export value increased 15.1% to US$506.8 million, while volumes rose 2.4%.
Apples generated US$639.6 million, up 1.2% despite slightly lower volumes.
Overall, around 60% of Chile’s fresh-fruit export categories achieved a higher average FOB value than in the previous season.
Nuts recorded particularly strong growth, with export value rising 45.2% to US$1.39 billion.
