Dole launches unprecedented campaign

Dole has launched an original campaign to encourage the consumption of bananas. Launched on 1 January 2012 and called "366 Ways to Go Bananas", an idea or suggestion is posted everday on Twitter and Facebook.
The practical advice is sometimes unusual and very varied:
Day 5 (5 Jan): make your leather shoes shine with banana peel.
Day 8 (8 Jan): Celebrate the birthday of Elvis Presley's favourite sandwich: peanut butter and banana.
Day 238 (August 25): Celebrate the anniversary of the famous dessert Banana Split that is now 108 years old.
The daily reminder of the many uses of banana has recipes available on a dedicated website. Campaigns at the point of sale and other traditional means should help increase sales.
