The Middle East is Pakistan's largest mango export market

In mid-September, Middle East countries imported more than 82,800 tonnes of mangoes from Pakistan, more than the total of Pakistan's exports last year.
In Pakistan, mango production expanded in 2019 to 1.5 million tonnes, worth USD 80 million compared with 1.3 million in 2018.
According to the Pakistan Importers and Merchants Association (Pakistan), Middle East countries are the largest export market for Pakistani mangoes. With more than 82,800 tons exported this year until mid-September. This volume is higher than last year's total exports of 82,000 tonnes.
In these countries in the Middle East, the UAE ranks first with the import of 32,500 tonnes of Pakistani mangoes. They are followed by Iran with 28,000 tons, followed by Oman with 13,500 tons and Saudi Arabia with 3,700 tons.
In Pakistan mango exports continue until mid-October, the total volume could reach a record 130 000 tonnes.
