Russia bans imports from Pakistan

Prohibition on Imports coming from Pakistan.

The Russian Federation has imposed a ban on vegetable products coming from Pakistan from October 1st. For Rosselkhoznadzor, the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, this restriction is temporary but total, after the discovery of regulated high-risk products.

Russia is one of the major customers of Pakistan products (kinnow, potatoes, mangoes), the shortfall with the cessation of exports could reach between U.S. $ 150 to 170 million.
