Organic farming continues to grow

Demand increases for organic locally grown products.

A report of the Ministry of Environment and Water has revealed that there are now more than 40 organic farms in the United Arab Emirates. These farms cover an area of ??approximately 3,890 hectares and offer a range of 62 products.

The ministry encourages the conversion to organic farming by many initiatives. Comprehensive training program for farmers and agricultural workers, marketing center in Dubai for organic products, distribution of bags of organic fertilizers. The ministry is preparing a strategy for organic farming for all Emirates.
