2026 Ripening & Quality Workshop secures sponsorship from postharvest innovators
With Catalytic Generators and QA Supplies as sponsors, the 2026 workshop will deliver practical training on fruit ripening and quality management.
Catalytic Generators, LLC, a long-established developer of ethylene application technology, and its sister company QA Supplies, LLC, have announced that they will serve as sponsors of the 2026 Fruit Ripening and Quality Management Workshop. The event is an enhanced East Coast version of the respected UC Davis Fruit Ripening and Ethylene Management Workshop and is designed to help professionals strengthen operational efficiency and fruit quality across the supply chain.
The workshop will take place 8–9 January 2026 in Savannah, Georgia, alongside the Southeast Fruit and Vegetable Conference. It is aimed at shippers, ripening facility teams, wholesale and retail produce managers, and other industry stakeholders seeking structured, practical training. Over the two-day programme, attendees will examine best practices in ripening, temperature control, maturity assessment, facility layout and the integration of new technologies. The agenda also includes demonstrations and networking sessions to encourage dialogue with specialists in the field.
Company leadership, including President & CEO Greg Akins, noted that supporting the workshop aligns with their long-standing focus on strengthening postharvest performance. Akins highlighted that training of this kind helps industry teams adopt stronger ripening programmes and deliver fruit that consistently meets retail expectations — an outcome the company views as increasingly important for maintaining quality and profitability.
Catalytic Generators emphasises that its involvement reflects decades of experience helping ripening operations translate scientific principles into routine practice. The company’s technology, training and distributor network have become a recognised part of ripening workflows globally, and it views continued knowledge-sharing as essential to meeting rising standards in product quality and consistency. QA Supplies, meanwhile, continues to support quality-control teams through a broad portfolio of instruments used for monitoring freshness, safety and maturity from harvest to distribution.
Registration for the 2026 workshop is now open, with limited capacity to preserve an interactive format. Interested participants can find full details and registration options on the Southeast Fruit and Vegetable Conference website.
