Peruvian sweet potato exports significantly increase

Peruvian sweet potato exports between January and June 2021 totaled 6,532,943 kilos for a FOB value of $2,429,491. It is a significant increase from the 3,458,476 kilos exported in the same period of 2020 for $1,297,425.

According to the Agrodata portal, the product was mainly destined to the Netherlands (49% of total shipments), for a value of $1.183.747. The second destination was Chile with $460,934, followed by the United States with $437,261, Ecuador with $165,184, Bolivia with $134,253, France with $24,154, Martinique with $12,858, Italy with $7,206, among other countries that together added $3,895.
