Rainfall has been so low that the southern England is threatened by drought.
East Anglia and the South East are affected by drought and other regions in Central and England suffer from a lack of rain says the Environment Agency.
Crops of potatoes
, carrots, onions, cauliflower, broccoli and salads are threatened. Some producers have reduced planting by 20% in expectation of water shortages. Production is predicted to be lower and lead to rising prices.
