Presentation of the MACFRUT exhibition in Sudan

 

 

 

The presentation of the Macfrut 2017 took place at the headquarters of Zadna International Co. for Investissement, a government agency that promotes the development of the Fruit & Vegetable sector through services and distribution of fruit trees (date palms, mangoes). The event brought together Zadna teams, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Commerce, as well as 40 operators and investors who have already confirmed their presence at the show in May.

 

 

 

In Marawi, the Macfrut delegation was able to visit the new development zone, which includes new production projects (dates, mangoes, oranges and grapefruit in particular). The dam built on the Nile River, operational since 2011, will irrigate about 2.2 million hectares in the years to come.

 

 

 

The country is also planning to construct 20 sites for packaging and export over the next 3 years. The 1st is under construction and will require equipment and technologies. Opportunities for Italian companies.
