Angel Red possesses unique qualities compared to the other varieties.

The marketing of a new variety of pomegranate, named Angel Red, began in California.

Plantations of pomegranates made a jump in the last decade increasing from 5000 hectares to 30.000 hectares (more than plums).

Demand of pomegranates is in growth. Three varieties were available: Wonderful, Granada and Foothill.

Angel Red juice is darker than that of other pomegranate varieties in its season, and delightfully fruity, but not as inky as that of the standard Wonderful, which it is unlikely to displace as the standard juice variety.

A rare variety of pomegranate with some unique qualities:

        • Early Maturity
        • Heavy Bearing
        • Soft Seeded
        • Good Acidity
        • Uniform Size & Color

Angel Red’s marketing has just begun in California and numerous farmers who produced them hopes a success.
