In China, the Ministry of Commerce said more than 8,000 types of products are imported with zero customs duties thanks to the many free trade agreements.
In a few years, China has signed 16 free trade agreements, 15 of which have already entered into force. Nearly one-third of China's imported products, more than 8,000 types of products, are now duty-free.
This removal, in the past tariffs could reach up to 30%, offers substantial benefits to Chinese consumers. More and more agricultural products, cheap and of high quality, from all over the world are now available.
The ministry points out that China's overall consumption landscape is currently more diversified, focused on quality and people.
