2012 exports grew in value and volume

Positive results for Spanish exports of fruit and vegetables.

The Ministry of Economy has provided data related to 2012. Exports of fruits and vegetables increased by 13% in value (compared to 2011, a total of 9.641 million euro) and by 6% in volume (reaching 11 million tonnes).

The value of exports increased both for the vegetables (11%), both for the fruit (14%). The volumes were down by 1% for vegetables, but rose by 11% for fruit.
