Ukraine has imported 3 times more apples in April 2013 than in April 2012

According to the data provided by local officials, Ukraine has purchased around 37 tons of apples in April 2013. This number 3 times exceeds previous year’s figure (14 tons of apples) and is considered to be the record one for April period in general.  But if we look at the amount of apples supplied to the fruit market of Ukraine during whole 2012-2013 period (last 10 months), the number is not highly impressive. During the above mentioned period Ukraine has imported only 65 tons of apples, this figure is 36% less comparing to the previous period’s amount.
