The British can enjoy asparaguses with nearly two months earlier than the traditionnal season.
The "Early Season Asparagus", new variety of asparagus arrived early, almost two months earlier than the traditional season. Cultivated for the first time in Great Britain, these new asparaguses are the product of an improved version of varieties from California and Peru.
Asparagus is grown in greenhouses, is smaller than the conventional asparagus, taste is more reminiscent. These asparaguses are available in Waitrose shops in London and in the Bluewater Shopping Centre Kent.
The price for 100 g is £ 2.99.
