Live from Asia Fruit Logistica: Rijk Zwaan Launches New Melon Range for Asian Market

"Asian Jewels" is a new range of melons that Rijk Zwaan has specially selected for the Asian market. The vegetable breeding company is also introducing Asia Fruit Logistica as a new brand for the growing market of healthy snacks.

 

 

 

This is the 13th year that Rijk Zwaan is exhibiting on Asia Fruit Logistica. This year the company presents "Asians Jewels", a range of 3 high quality melons for the Premium market. One is named Golden Emerald, a golden-colored melon that combines a sweet taste with a good shelf life. The other is named Silky Pearl, firm crunch and silky softness. The latter is named Silver Coral which is a well-known category in Asia. It has a distinctive outer net and is extremely juicy inside. These green and orange melons are the perfect combination to meet the expectations of Asian consumers.

 

 

 

Like last year, the Rijk Zwaan stand offers a wide selection of snack vegetables, including tomatoes, mini cucumbers, mini peppers and many other vegetables. Consumers in Asia and other countries are increasingly opting for vegetable snacks throughout the day and everywhere, at school, in transportation, at railway stations or at airports. The concept can encourage retailers and catering companies to further develop this category in partnership with Rijk Zwaan.
