Lack of water, pest attacks and late frosts have caused significant damage. Plums harvest for the industry will be the smallest for 10 years. The first estimate of harvest may revised downwards.
In November, the forecast called for 60 000 tons. The second prediction, which takes place every year in January, is not yet known. But professionals expect lower figures.
