FIS (Fresh India Show) 2022 aims to be the ideal platform to learn, see and explore the Indian market, seize development opportunities or strengthen its activities. In India, per capita consumption of different fruits and vegetables has increased by 15-25%, import and demand for fresh, frozen, cut, packaged produce has also increased. Indian growers are buying more material to meet growing demand.
Media Today Group is organizing the 4th edition of Fresh India Show 2022 (FIS 2022) to be held on 3-4 June 2022 in New Delhi. In addition to extensive exhibition space, FIS 2022 will feature the Global Fresh India Conference and various presentations, discussions and meetings between buyers and sellers. In India, the per capita consumption of different fruits and vegetables has increased by 15-25%, the import and demand for fresh, frozen, cut, packaged products has also increased. Apple imports increased from 215,538 tonnes in 2020 to 436,194 tonnes in 2021, mainly from Iran, Turkey, Chile, Italy, New Zealand, Brazil, Afghanistan and the United States. Imports of oranges more than tripled to 153,296 tonnes, from Egypt, South Africa and Australia. Imports of kiwifruit rose sharply to 67,247 tonnes, mainly from Iran, Chile and New Zealand.
Along with apples, oranges and kiwis, strong import growth was recorded in 2021 for pears, avocados, cherries and blueberries.
