Yubari, melons that terrifies auction

In Japan, the very first melons " Yubari " cantaloupe melons produced in Yubari have the perfect form and unique taste. They become the heroes of an auction.
This year the auction that took place on the central market of the city of Sapporo ( Hokkaido ) ended at 1.5 million yen ( 11,100 euros) for two melons.
However, far from the record of 2.5 million yen ( 18,600 euros) achieved last year and in 2008.The melon the most prestigious in Japan, a " Yubari " is incomparable for its taste.
Great fine taste , tender flesh and velvety, both sweet and refreshing. The rest of the season however the price of a melon " Yubari " is about 3000 yen ( 30 euros) each.
