David del Castillo is joining the team of TOMRA Food

For now, Chile, Brazil and Argentina are the main markets in Latin America for TOMRA. Del Castillo stressed that this year, they are including Mexico in their region due to the great potential they see in this market for vegetables and other products exported to the U.S. Besides, they want to grow in other emerging markets such as Colombia and Peru.

David del Castillo is joining the team of TOMRA Food as Latin America Regional Sales Director for TOMRA Processed Food. This role was created after the split of the AMERICAS region into two new separate regions: Latin America (LATAM) and North America (NAM). He will be based at the new regional headquarters in Santiago, Chile.

They hope he will bring them a new vision that is essential in such difficult times. His background in the food industry linked to technology is a perfect fit for TOMRA Food.

Del Castillo has more than 13 years of experience in sales positions in the food industry, closely tied to the food & technology sector, and has led multidisciplinary teams for most of his career. He was one of the first graduates in Food Science and Technology in Spain and has studied Veterinary Medicine.

David del Castillo firmly believes that advanced technology and the food industry will go along in the future.

He stated: "I’m excited with this opportunity to develop the excellent team we have and achieve the goals that we set".

In his new position, David del Castillo will be in charge of expanding the TOMRA Processed Food organization to support its business development in the region. He will strengthen the team with new hires in technical support, sales, and services to support customers with a highly professional team and the best technology. His objective for the medium term is to launch new technologies to conquer new markets and grow in countries that have significant potential for TOMRA.
