The diplomatic crisis between Saudi Arabia and Qatar disrupts supply and causes opportunities that Indian exporters have seized.
APEDA (Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority) announced that Indian exports of fresh fruit and vegetables to Qatar have jumped 15% in the last two weeks. In the immediacy of the needs, Qatar bought more to India and multiplied the transports by air.
Qatar's demand is expected to rise further according to Indian professionals. Ramadan, the month of fasting, has just ended and food demand will return to normal volumes.
