In the first quarter of 2023, Peruvian fresh onion exports increased slightly compared to the same period of the previous year.
According to a report by Agrodata, 54,987,940 kilos of fresh onion were exported for a value of $17,848,814, while in the first quarter of 2022 51,898,320 kilos were exported for $16,065,401.
The main destination for Peruvian fresh onion exports this year continues to be Spain, with a total of $7,694,342, which represents 43% of total shipments. Next came Colombia with $4,487,789, the United States with $4,462,291, Chile with $494,164, Portugal with $184,149, the Netherlands with $114,219 and other countries with lower figures.
