The Port of Barcelona recorded + 150% growth for Fruit & Vegetables in January 2018's traffic.
For the eighth year in a row, the Port of Barcelona is taking part in the medFEL show, which presents all of its logistic services for fresh products. With a 150% increase in its Fruit & Vegetables business in Q1 2018, the Port of Barcelona is consolidating its role as a regional hub for temperature-controlled goods.
The Port of Barcelona team presents (Jordi Torrent, Ana Arévalo, Nathalie Thomas) at the show will make known to French and European operators, specific services - logistics, maritime and rail connectivity - offered to the fruit & vegetables sector. The Port will also enhance its logistics offer in the Mediterranean, with a particular focus on services with North Africa and Italy.
In the program of activities organized within the framework of the medFEL, Jordi Torrent, head of strategy at the Port of Barcelona, Miguel de San Juan, Sales Manager Spain of the rail operator Viia; Sebastiano Cirnigliaro, commercial director of the Grimaldi group; Ignacio Bueno, commercial director of Transitainer; and Ricard Gómez, Head of the Export Department for Africa and Latin America of Leoproex; will host the conference "Multimodal logistics serving fruits and vegetables", which will take place on Tuesday, April 24 at 18:00 on Podium TV.
