Greek apples soon on the Indian market

India has approved the entry of Greek apples into its market and is also considering authorization for kiwifruit and other Greek fruits.

 

 

 

As a result of requests made since 2016, the approval of the Indian Ministry of Agriculture has been passed on to its Greek counterpart. Apples from Greece will be able to enter the Indian market. This will start with 8 to 10 trial shipments.

 

 

 

According to a consultant from Incofruit-Hellas, the federation of export fruit and vegetable companies, India is also interested in Greek kiwis and other agreements are underway for prunes, cherries and citrus fruits.
