Delhaize Group is looking to strengthen its presence in Indonesia and open hundreds of Super Indo stores.
Present in Indonesia since 1998, Delhaize Group is now ready to increase its presence.
In an interview with the monthly 'Best Belegger', an official of Delhaize Group announced that the Group saw tremendous opportunities in Indonesia. Delhaize owns 51% of Super Indo, a chain of 73
supermarkets on the islands of Java and Sumatra. Indonesia is the fourth largest country in the world with nearly 300 million.
Delhaize sees the possibility of opening hundreds of stores in the country as a priority before expanding into neighboring countries like Thailand and Singapore, in the longer term.
