The African market has significant potential for Moroccan exports

Morocco, N ° 4 only of suppliers to West African countries, plans to develop its exports there.
The African market is very dynamic with respect to its imports of Fruits & Vegetables totaling 5 billion USD, according to EACCE (Establishment of autonomous control and coordination of exports).
During the 8th edition of TROFEL, Africa was honored with delegations from Côte d'Ivoire, Gabon, Burkina Faso, Senegal and Egypt. On the program: visits of packing station, meetings between importers and exporters of the sector, presentations of opportunities to diversify markets.
West Africa, in particular, recorded a 16% increase in imports from USD 267 million in 2010 to USD 559 million in 2015. Its main suppliers are the United Kingdom (USD 134 million) , The Netherlands ($ 123 million), South Africa ($ 95 million), Morocco, which is closer to these countries, occupies only the fourth place with $ 22 million. By giving priority to trade with these African countries, Moroccan exports could undergo further development.
In 2015, West African countries imported 238 million USD of vegetables and 321 million USD of fruit. On the import side: nuts, potatoes, onions and apples.
