Great idea and real success for Dole vending maching installed in Tokyo's subway.
Dole put the country’s first banana vending machine at an underground shopping mall in Shibuya last week.
The vending machine has a fridge and maintains stored bananas at 13 degrees Celsius.
This vending machine can contain 100 packages of bananas and is available at 130 yen (approximately 1.5 $) per piece or 390 yen (approximately 4.5 $) per bunch.
More than 1,000 pieces have been sold since the machine was set up a week ago. The distributor is reloaded every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
