According to data from the Egyptian Ministry of Commerce exports of Fruits & Vegetables to Russia increased by 39% between January and November 2017 totaling about 359 million USD against 258.5 million USD during the same period in 2016.
Exports of Fruits & Vegetables account for 77% of total Egyptian exports to Russia. The total amount reaches 464.8 million USD and according to the observed trends Egyptian exports could exceed 500 million USD for the first time in the history of trade relations between the 2 countries.
Another positive outlook is that negotiations are taking place with the countries belonging to EEU (Eurasian Economic Union) for free trade agreements. This would open up new possibilities for Egyptian exports.
