Nearly €21 billion worth of Spanish fruit and vegetable products
The production of fruits and vegetables, potatoes, flowers, and plants is valued at 20.909 billion euros, accounting for 51% of total crop production.
The value of Spanish fruit and vegetable production reached 20.909 billion euros in 2025, a figure that represents 51% of crop production and 28% of total agricultural output, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Agriculture.
40% are vegetables
The €20.909 billion in fruit and vegetable production value also includes the value of flower and live plant production, accounting for 22.5% of the total. A total of €8.283 billion corresponds to vegetables (39.6%), €7.816 billion to fruits (37.4%), and €927 million to potatoes. Fruits and vegetables account for 51%, more than half of Spain’s total crop production, which includes all agricultural sectors such as grains, wine, and olive oil.
28% of Spain’s agricultural value added
Regarding final agricultural output—which includes both crop and livestock production—fruits and vegetables account for 28% of the total, according to October 2025 data from the Subdirectorate General of Statistics of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food, processed by FEPEX. According to this preliminary report, Spanish crop production amounts to €41.262 billion and total agricultural production to €75.676 billion.
