RPC WOOD of POLYMER LOGISTICS improves the presentation on points of sale and leads to an increase in sales.
POLYMER LOGISTICS, a company specializing in reusable plastic packaging and leasing services, has entered into agreements with Wal-Mart and Carrefour distributors to use the new RPC WOOD product (reusable tray that resembles wood) for better logistics and presentation Fresh products in shelves.
These bins, launched at the Fruit Logistica in Berlin (our info of 10.02), offer a unique feature: their resemblance to wood attracts consumers and leads to an increase in sales. According to the tests conducted, 87% of the respondents preferred the RPC WOOD to any other bac and the increase in sales was quantified between 3 and 6%.
Regarding the overall cost of operation, no additional cost compared to other conventional bins and even a decrease in transport costs. In fact, when folded, the tank has a small footprint and the number of trays transported per pallet increases.
In addition to past agreements (US, Italy) POLYMER LOGISTICS negotiates deployment with Wal-Mart and Carrefour in other countries. Several European retailers are testing to adopt these products which improves the image of points of sale.
