The ports of Ravenna and Koper are linked with Egypt, Israel, Greece and Cyprus
A new Maersk line connecting the Adriatic Sea with the Eastern Mediterranea started yesterday, November 23, in Koper (Slovenia).
Second call in Italy is Ravenna, while Trieste is excluded.
The service, announced by the big Danish container company at the beginning of this month, links the ports of Ravenna and Koper with Alexandria (Egypt), Ashdod (Israel), Piraeus (Greece) and Cyprus.
The president of Trieste Port Authority Claudio Boniciolli commented the exclusion of his port expressing the wish that “local operators may soon urge Maersk to redirect traffics to Trieste port too.”
