In South India, an abundant harvest of mangoes is expected.
The mango growers in the state of Tamil Nadu, in Southern India, are optimistic. A rich harvest is expected this year, thanks to favorable weather conditions. The monsoon rains have not arrived at the time of flowering, thus preserving the harvest.
For two years, in the state of Tamil Nadu, the first mangoes had arrived on the market in the last week of April, while this year they have started to arrive one month earlier. Production will begin to take off, and huge amounts are expected in the coming weeks.
