Fresfel is alarmed by the declining consumption of fruit and vegetables in the EU.
Fresfel reports a sharp drop in consumption of fruits and vegetables in the EU-27 in its latest publication.
The Freshfel Consumption Monitor indicates a 7.8% decline in consumption of fresh fruit per person in 2010, down 9.4
% on the average over the past 5 years.
Freshfel calls for urgent actions at all levels to stop this downward trend and bring consumption to satisfactory levels.
