More avocados shipped in 6 months than all of 2017

In the first half of 2018 Mexican avocado exports to China exceeded the volume exported during 2017.

 

 

From January to June 2018, Mexico exported 9,368 tonnes of avocados to China. That is 7.1% more than the volume exported from January to December 2017.

 

 

 

The Chinese market continues to amplify its demand for avocados. In recent years, Mexican avocados have recorded exceptional growth in their exports to China, rising from 1.9 million USD in 2013 to 25 million USD in 2017, ie + 936%.
