Lomagne IGP white garlic is in the form of bulbs of a size greater than 45 mm, sold in bulk or braided.
Less than 2 months after the beginning of the harvest, the commercial season of the white garlic of Lomagne (France) has just started. The Lomagne white garlic has benefited from a particularly hot and dry weather, ideal for drying in excellent conditions and to be preserved until next March.
The 2018-2019 season promised to be complicated because of the heavy rainfall this spring but will be a good year. The products are of quality, the bulbs are generous and the pods have large sizes. The quality is also at the rendezvous.
Moreover, 2018 marks the 10th anniversary of the IGP (Protected Geographical Identification), the recognition of a quality linked to a unique terroir.
The production area of the Lomagne IGP white garlic covers 172 hectares spread over 2 departments (Gers, Tarn-et-Garonne), production potential: 1200 tons.
